Lizzie came to Tower Hill Stables in spring 2026, alongside another pig, in a situation that was both urgent and heartbreaking.
We were told very clearly that if we could not help, Lizzie would be shot. There were no other options left. Once again, we were the last chance.
We need to be clear — taking Lizzie in was not an easy decision. The sanctuary was already under strain, with rising costs and falling donations. Saying yes meant accepting another lifelong responsibility at a time when resources were stretched thin.
