350 Bales for Winter
While the fields are green and the animals are enjoying the summer sunshine, we are already preparing for winter.
Every year, the sanctuary relies on thousands of pounds' worth of hay to feed our rescued cows, horses, sheep and other grazing animals. Last year's hay shortages and soaring prices showed just how vulnerable animal sanctuaries can be when forage becomes scarce.
To help protect the animals in our care, we have secured 350 large Heston bales from this year's harvest. These bales will form a vital reserve, helping to ensure full hay nets throughout the colder months and reducing our exposure to future price rises.
The good news is that the hay has been secured. The challenge now is paying for it. That's where the 350 Club comes in.
Whether you contribute the cost of a small slice of a bale, part of a bale, or sponsor an entire bale, you will be helping hundreds of rescued animals through the winter months ahead.
Every square in the bale-ometer below represents one bale secured for the sanctuary. As support grows, we'll update the total and colour in the bales until all 350 have been covered. Because when winter arrives, every one of those golden squares becomes food, comfort and security for the animals who depend on us.

350 Bales for Winter
Every bale we secure now is hay a rescued animal will eat on a cold morning. Here's how close we are to covering the full harvest.
One Bale. Hundreds of Meals.
A Heston bale is a giant rectangular bale of hay roughly the size of a small car and weighing over half a tonne.
These huge bales form the backbone of our winter feeding programme, providing vital forage for the sanctuary's cows, horses and sheep when grazing becomes limited.
By sponsoring a whole bale, you are helping us secure winter feed at today's prices and giving hundreds of rescued animals food, comfort and security for the colder months ahead.
One bale sponsored. Hundreds of meals provided.

Help Fill a Bale
Not everyone can sponsor a whole bale, but every contribution helps build the winter hay reserve our animals depend on.
A Heston bale is about the size of a small car, so even sponsoring part of one makes a meaningful difference. Together, supporters like you help us turn individual contributions into the hay reserves that keep animals fed throughout the winter.
Your share helps keep hay nets full and tummies happy.

Every Bale Starts With a Slice
Even a giant Heston bale has to be paid for one contribution at a time.
Your donation buys a small slice of a bale and helps us move closer to our goal of securing 350 bales for winter. It may be a small amount, but when hundreds of supporters come together, those slices soon become full bales.
Because every rescued animal deserves a full breakfast on a cold winter morning.
