Fergus arrived along with Ffion back in 2020. Despite being singled out as a "poor doer" he has since done really well and is very much enjoying his new life at the sanctuary with his herd of Highlands, plus Dennis the Vaynol. We tend not to see many Highland cows in this neck of the woods and I’m guessing most people don't realise (or want to realise) that these animals are also bred for their meat.

Jack is a Clydesdale horse who had been living in a more or less wild herd in Yorkshire. the owner was no longer able to look after them.

Domino was found running on the road having escaped with a number of other black and white ponies and was taken to a Police pound.

Giselle arrived at the Sanctuay a few years ago. She is actually a wild swan but landed in our yard after what was probably her maiden flight as she sill had her grey/brown plumage indicative of a youngster.

Harold was one of the 10 little boys rescued in October 2017 and was a mere three weeks old when we managed to save him from being taken to a fattening unit. As a Holtein Friesian and male, Harold will all being well grow to be one of our larger cows !

Fiona was asked to help with a horse who could no longer be ridden due to an unresolved lameness issue that veterinary intervention, and a hefty bill had done little to resolve. (Whilst not being ridden he was fine)

Atomic decided he wanted to live at the new farm site! He was not a rescue as such, he just turned up one day although we couldn't get near him for months.

We went to an agricultural college to rescue a number of cade lambs and when we were there the farmer asked if we would be interested in taking any baby boy goats as they only wanted the females for milking.

Panda was born at the Sanctuary as her Mum was rescued whilst Pregnant.

Bridget was rescued as a very tiny piglet. She was brought to the sanctuary and hand reared. Initially known as Bridget the Fidget for reasons you can probablyt imagine.

Dino was one of 4 Hereford cows rescued from slaughter in 2019. One of our supporters had been walking their dogs past the field where the four friends lived and had over a period of weeks grown very fond of the boys who came over for a bit of love through the fence. On speaking to the farmer she learned that they were going to be 'prime beef'.

Pat was reacued in 2012 and came to the sanctuary as a "feral". She quickly settled in and whilst she has on one occasion come into the house, she quickly scampered off outside again as that is what she is used to and prefers.
