Fiona was asked to help with a horse who could no longer be ridden due to an unresolved lameness issue that veterinary intervention and a hefty bill had done little to resolve. (Whilst not being ridden he was fine)
His owner had had a dramatic change in circumstances and was no longer able to keep him, but despite the fact that he could have been sold they didn’t want the possibility that he would have been ridden again and then passed on and on – some horse dealers can disguise lameness to make a sale which ultimately leaves the poor horse venerable to pts – or worse
A home was needed where they could be sure he would live out his days as they are meant to – happy and in a herd with lots of friends and tasty grub!
