Homer

Homer is a rescued cade lamb. As you may be aware where Ewes give birth to triplets on commercial farms, the smallest (runt) is not wanted as the Ewe can only successfully raise 2 lambs. If all 3 are left, the result is 3 weaker lambs ratherthan 2 strong ones.

Consequently, the 3rd one - or the cade lamb - is removed and either hand reared by the farmer or disposed of. On occasion they may be lucky enough to be acquired by a sanctuary - and this is what happened with Homer.  Homer is a big lad and very much enjoys being part of the sanctuary flock
